Haiku – My First Attempt

I was chatting with my friend Nadine yesterday and she was explaining to me the “Haiku” so I thought that I can write many Haiku 😁 I have many random musings and why not right? Maybe it will not be 5-7-5 but hope you will enjoy it!

  2. I never tried writing Haiku because I never understood the rules. The one I read was more complicated than 5-7-5 act. But if if it’s a first attempt. You captured that gut-wrenching truth that there’s no such thing a free speech. Often it isn’t easy to come out and say the truth. Great haiku Hug ❤

    1. Thank you Jess for the kind words 😊 happy you loved it 😊 just fixed it a bit so the syllabus can fit the 5-7-5 rule but the words were written before and maybe next time I won’t fix it, I will break the rule a bit

  11. Yay you did it =) ❤ I was so happy to see the ping on wordpress when I logged in 😀 I was not expecting you to post it this fast, this proves you’re not lazy as I am “hides face in shame”
    You did wonderfully my dear, I absolutely love it ❤ it is so powerful like I told you the haiku is just 3 lines but damn they can be so wonderfully powerful just like you did in this post. I read it and I pictured a woman oppressed in our society and maybe abused by her husband or family or the second scenario an oppressed citizen in a dictatorship country. Well done, well done dear, this is very deep ❤ yalla will be waiting for more haiku from you 😀

      Well I just said the truth and nope I’m not lazy most of the times actually (it depends I guess)

      Well I didn’t know the rules as well, it just needs to be 5-7-5 syllabus so I did some changes and seems it worked 😁

  13. I have seen so many writing Haiku but I never understood what is it. There are rules?
    So powerful words! We are living in a world were most of the people have the right to express themselves but still some cannot or they are not allowed. 🤗❤️

    1. well as someone explained, must be 3 lines, 5-7-5 syllabus , 1st line 5 syllabus, second 7, and 3rd 5 🙂 so I tried to fix the syllabus of something I already wrote 🙂 Glad you loved it 🤗🤗💕💕 give it a try 😊

      2. Oh I’m sorry it’s syllables and not Syllabus hahha and I also used google:
        “A syllable is a part of a word that contains a single vowel sound and that is pronounced as a unit. So, for example, ‘book’ has one syllable, and ‘reading’ has two syllables. ”
        I’m not perfect in English either, so thanks God for Google hahaha

  15. Haiku is really interesting, isn’t it? It tests the ability to out your feelings and emotions in a structure. I have tried it as well, didn’t work out well maybe I will try a little more 😂 Yours is great though❤️🤗
