When Angels Cried!

Translated from the original Arabic version. It was written long time ago. Please don’t wish me to get better. Thank you 🙂

Prefix:

Sometimes all we can do is cry, when we see the deep sadness of our loved ones and the extent of our inability…
When we are incapable to even pray…to even get close… We are incapable to carry their pain, to ease their sorrows … We cry!
This is what our loved ones do before our grief and pain
Whether they are with us or in the other world … Angels that protect us and watch over us!
I believe that death is never the end; it is the beginning of a better life, of an eternal life in the neighborhood of God!

When Angels Cried

That day the winter was harsh!
The cold penetrates my veins until I had a bluish tinge!
The sky was darkened and the horizon was blackened
I looked … I couldn’t find a mere light
I hate darkness!
My heart has darkened, my chest has tightened, and my enthusiasm, my laughs and my humor were all melted!
There is no sign of life around, neither love nor colors

I felt a deep sadness that I had never experienced before!
A melancholy that changed my features, choked my heart, blooded my eyes!
A melancholy that has enveloped me with a black halo that scared the angels around me!

They tried to approach and they were hit by a wall of gloom!
They tried to spread the light but it was suffocated before it was even released!
They tried to give me their hands but they were hit by the arrows of despair and surrender!

The angels saw me extinguishing slowly…
The angels cried around me
Their tears pierced deep down my soul
They moistened my heart with purity and hope
They removed the plucks of sadness and despair
They sent a light that broke my fears

The angels cried from the depth of my sorrow
And when they cried, they revived me!

  7. I agree Huguette! I think there’s no feeling worst than seeing person you love the most in so much pain and your inability to do anything. That feeling helplessness is just heart breaking. But as the poem shows, no matter how hard time is and how dark the world seems, there’s always hope. And that hope will break through the clouds of darkness and bring you the light you have been waiting for. 😊
    Very happy to read something straight from your heart after such a long time. I was about to say you that I love reading those awards post but please write something from your heart now😅 I guess, you read my mind😊

    1. Thank you Swastik 😊 well I know you love to read something from the heart but most of my deep Arabic writings are so sad because this is how I felt for many years, always the sadness and anger triggered me to write..,and there wasn’t lot of joy to be honest 😊
      This one is a bit surreal, I wrote it in certain circumstances and didn’t want people to even understand what I meant…
      I’m glad you loved it and promise you will bring some from the heart, hopefully a bit joyful 😊

  9. That was such a melancholy piece thankfully with some redemption at the end. Even though it came from a place of deep sorrow 😪
    I would’ve thought that maybe because it was translated from your native tongue it might have lost something in the process. It certainly doesn’t appear that way. It really conveys a deep sadness.
    ‘A black halo that scared the angels’. Such a phrase or thought I have never heard before. Something so dark beings of light are afraid. Seriously powerful stuff.
    Well I’m glad this was written a long time ago. Hopefully you’ll never have to experience what inspired you to write that again.

      I used google translate first then I corrected it once and twice so I don’t compromise the meaning and I believe it was good, of course I consider the Arabic great

      29. It’s unreal. Like what’s the point? I had a weird one the other day. Got a new follower the other day. Checked them out. It said their account was created 4hrs before. They followed me right away. Didn’t like anything. Made one post an hour after creation that just said ‘I love Allah’. And that’s it. I showed my tech friend. Visited their blog and there was a fake Facebook account on it. Very strange.
        Oh I’m sure you’ve had enough of those for 100 lifetimes 😪

  10. quite emotional…I wish angels could swing down to each person physically, hold us in their arms, and comfort us at times, even if for just a few minutes. it would be really comforting…but without all that, still they are alive; numerous unseen battles on our behalf, they survive and feel our pain… GOD forbid, but even if I die, paradise i will gain
